Bryant vs. Merrimack

  • The Warriors earned a 7-6 victory two weeks ago in Andover, Mass.
  • Jake Gustin homered, while Derek Smith had three hits and two RBI. Bryant rallied from 5-0 down to tie it 6-6 in the ninth before Merrimack walked it off.

  • Jake Gustin went 7-for-13 with two doubles, two home runs, four RBI and seven runs scored in the series win over UMBC.
  • Gustin now ranks ninth in DI program history in games played (172), seventh in hits (213), seventh in doubles (45), tied for sixth in home runs (18), tied for tenth in RBI (116) and fifth in runs scored (160). 
  • Derek Smith carries a career-high 12-game hitting streak into Wednesday. He's hitting .347 with 10 doubles, five home runs, 23 RBI and 21 runs scored.
  • Lewis Barnum is also hitting over .300, entering Wednesday at .324. He has two four-hit games and has collected 18 RBI.
