Gustin named America East Player of the Week

BOSTON -- Bryant University baseball senior Jake Gustin was named the America East Player of the Week on Monday. 

Gustin slashed .429/1.143/1.610 to help the Bulldogs earn a series victory over Binghamton. The Peabody, Mass., native went 6-for-14 with two doubles, a triple, two home runs, five RBI and six runs scored.

On Friday, Gustin tied the game in the bottom of the 12th inning with a solo home run. The Bulldogs would go on to win 9-8 in 13. He then led off game two of the series with his 21st career home run. Gustin closed out his career at Conaty Park with two doubles, an RBI and two runs scored as the Bulldogs earned a 6-5 win and claimed the series. 

Bryant closes the regular season with four road games this week, starting Tuesday at Stonehill. The Bulldogs will then head to Maine for a three-game series with Maine starting on Thursday.
