Bryant hosts Stonehill Tuesday in final home game

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant baseball team plays its final home game of the 2024 season on Tuesday afternoon as it hosts Stonehill. First pitch is set for 4:00 p.m.

Bryant will honor its senior class prior to the game.

Bryant vs. Stonehill

  • Bryant and Stonehill will meet for the third and final time this season. The Skyhawks have won each of the first two games, 5-3 and 16-5.
  • Stonehill scored in five separate innings to hold off Bryant in the first meeting, while Jack Thorbahn homered twice and drove in eight runs in the second game.

  • Bryant enters the week 31-17 overall following a series victory over Maine last weekend. The Black and Gold are 30-10 since starting the year 1-7.
  • The Bulldogs reached the 30-win mark for the 11th time in the last 19 years and also claimed their 11th regular season title in 15 years of DI eligibility over the weekend.
  • Carmine Petosa has reached safely in all 48 games this season and has reached in a program record 51-straight dating back to last year. The streak is the longest in program history, snapping Robby Rinn's '16 record of 50. Petosa is hitting .313 with 17 doubles, 11 home runs, 53 RBI, 47 runs scored and a .477 OBP. Petosa now has 25 career home runs, ranking second in DI program history.
  • Gavin Noriega continues to pace the America East with 53 RBI and 50 runs scored. He has clubbed a program record 16 home runs and owns a .470 OBP.
  • Zac Zyons brings an 28-game on-base streak into the weekend. Zyons leads the league with a .384 average on the year. He has chipped in 30 RBI and 42 runs scored.

  • Stonehill enters Tuesday with an 18-25 overall record and a 13-14 record in the NEC.
