ULTIMATE TAKES ON THE LEMONY FRESH FALL CLASSIC
WARWICK, R.I. -- On September 29th-30th the Ultimate team headed to Warwick, R.I. to play in the Lemony Classic Tournament against many other colleges including Northeastern, Skidmore, Hartford, URI, and a few more. The teams were split into an X and Y team, mixing returners and new players.

Both teams won about as many as they lost during this tournament

There was lots of improvement in the new players throughout the weekend

By the end of the weekend, they were playing very competitively with other schools’ A teams

The last game of the weekend was a hard-fought loss against Skidmore’s A team

The team made great strides for the first tournament -- saw a lot of encouraging things from the freshmen that they’ll look to build on

President Justin Kunkel: “We didn’t head into this tournament expecting to win, but we did accomplish our goal of putting new players into unfamiliar situations to give them valuable experience in games. We saw a lot of improvement over the weekend that we think we can build on so we can compete later in the season”
