Easton, Kenney to play in FCS Bowl on Sunday

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Following standout careers for the Bryant University football team, Dalton Easton (Miami, Fla.) and Patrick Kenney (Camarillo, Calif.) will take part in the FCS Bowl in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Both Easton and Kenney will play on the American Team (White). The game is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 4 at Dayton Beach Municipal Stadium.

Last season, Brandon Dagnesses, Jose Depadua and Chad Ward represented the Black and Gold at the FCS Bowl.

Easton, a Second Team All-NEC and an All-New England selection, threw for a school-record 2,855 yards and 28 touchdowns this season. His 28 touchdown passes are the most in Northeast Conference history, and he also set Bryant single-season records for completions, attempts, yards per game and total offense. Easton wrapped up his career sixth all-time in NEC history in passing yards (7,463) and fifth all-time in passing touchdowns (70).

Kenney wrapped up his storied career with a career-high 14 tackles in Bryant's final game of the season at Sacred Heart. The breakout performance gave him 53 tackles for the season and 251 in his four-year career. Kenney will leave Bryant ranked second all-time in tackles behind classmate Marquise Watson (Hillside, N.J.).

The FCS Bowl is an annual post-season college football all-star game consisting of the top players from college football FCS schools. The rosters give NFL/CFL scouts a chance to view and get to know some of the best players from smaller schools over the bowl weekend.

The FCS Bowl is coached by pro coaches and features coaches such as NFL Coach Mike Stock formerly of the Green Bay Packers. The game has been attended by scouts from the NFL's St Louis Rams, Kansas City Chiefs, Atlanta Falcons, Miami Dolphins, Oakland Raiders, San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, and has even seen scouting directors fly in.  With its location, the bowl weekend continues to gain scouts attention. All 32 NFL teams receive and review the FCS Bowl film as the game and practice film are distributed directly to all NFL teams by NFL Films.
