Phil Steele FCS All-America Teams

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The postseason honors continued to roll in for the Bryant University football team as junior linebacker Thomas Costigan (Stamford, Conn.) and redshirt sophomore return specialist Jean Constant (Delray Beach, Fla.) were named Phil Steel FCS All-Americans on Friday.

Both Costigan and Constant were named to the fourth team. Costigan has now been cited as an All-American by two outlets, while Constant earns his first-career All-American citation.

Costigan, the Northeast Conference and ECAC Defensive Player of the Year, posted 103 tackles, 11.5 sacks, 17 tackles for a loss, four forced fumbles and an interception. He became Bryant's fourth AP All-American earlier this week and is currently ranked third nationally in sacks (1.05), fourth in forced fumbles (0.36) and 12th in tackles for a loss (1.5).

Constant earns All-American laurels after putting together the best season for a returner in program history. An All-NEC First Team selection, Constant returned 36 kicks for 989 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught 48 passes for 594 yards and seven touchdowns, finishing the season with 1,633 all-purpose yards. Constant currently ranks third nationally in combined kick return yards (1,019), fifth in all-purpose yards per game (148.45) and eighth in kick return average (27.5).
