SMITHFIELD, R.I. – With the Bryant University football team set to open camp on August 6, BryantBulldogs.com breaks down the Black and Gold position by position.  

Running Backs

Returning: Brenden Femiano (Northport, N.Y.), Alfred Dorbor (Pawtucket, R.I.), Jake Keenan (Tyngsborough, Mass.), Isaac McCray (Middletown, R.I.), Wenzhi Deng (Guangzhou, China), Niko Jackson (Brookline, Mass.)

Newcomers: Daniel Adeboboye (Toronto, Ont.), Ricardo Martinez (Saugus, Mass.), Victor Pascoe (Old Saybrook, Conn.)

Notes and Notables

  • Bryant lists nine running backs on its roster as it enters August camp. Of the nine, six are returners.
  • The Bulldogs rushed for 1,293 yards (117.5 per game) and 14 touchdowns last season.
  • 69 percent of that rushing yardage returns this fall, led by Femiano, McCray and Dorbor.
  • Femiano rushed for a team-leading 394 yards (56.3 per game) but missed four games with injury.
  • McCray rushed for 287 yards (57.4 per game) in the first five games of his collegiate career before missing the final six. He tied for the team lead with three scores.
  • Dorbor added 101 yards on 23 carries as he worked his way back from an injury that cost him his true freshman season in 2016.
  • The Black and Gold also received a wealth of rushing yardage from its wide receivers. Tom Kennedy (Farmingdale, N.Y.) rushed for 66 yards and a team-leading three touchdowns on 12 carries.
  • Quarterback Price Wilson (Marietta, Ga.) also rushed for three scores on the season.
  • Adeboboye is the first Bryant recruit from Canada but played his high school football in Pennsylvania.
  • Pascoe rushed for 1,162 yards as a senior.

Fun Fact

Isaac McCray was the first true freshman in DI program history to post a 100-yard rushing game last season.
