Constant named Walter Camp All-American

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University football redshirt junior Jean Constant (Delray Beach, Fla.) became the first player in program history to earn Walter Camp Football Championship Subdivision All-American honors on Friday afternoon.  

Constant, the national leader in kick return scores and return average, also becomes the first player in DI program history to earn All-America honors in multiple seasons. He is one of just two players in the Northeast Conference to make the team.

Bryant's all-time leader in kick return yards, Constant led the country with three kick return touchdowns and a 39.1 kick return average. He returned 16 kicks for 626 yards, including return scores of 100, 97 and 88. Constant returned the opening kickoff of the 2018 season for a touchdown and then capped the season with kick return scores in each of the final two games. With his 88-yard return score at Howard, Constant became Bryant's all-time leader in kick return yards with 1,694.

Constant also caught 43 passes for 477 yards and a team-leading seven touchdowns. He now has 23 total touchdowns in his career which ranks fifth all-time at Bryant. Constant was named a STATS FCS and Phil Steele All-American in 2017, and was a STATS FCS Preseason All-American this fall.
