Athlon Sports All-American Team

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University football redshirt junior Jean Constant (Delray Beach, Fla.) was named to the Athlon Sports 2018 Postseason FCS All-America Team on Wednesday.

The All-America citation is the fourth this postseason for Constant. He is the first Bryant football player to earn All-America honors in multiple seasons. Constant has also earned All-America honors from STATS FCS, Walter Camp and Phil Steele.

Constant proved himself as the top kick returner in the nation despite most teams kicking away from him. A year after he returned 36 kicks for 989 yards and two scores, Constant only got the chance to return 16 kicks in 2018. He turned that into 626 yards and led the nation in kick return average (39.1) and finished second in return scores (3). Constant scored on returns of 100, 97 and 88, setting both the single-season and career record for return touchdowns in the process. He returned the opening kickoff of 2018 for a touchdown and then found paydirt on his final return of the season at Howard.

In three seasons, Constant has returned 57 kicks for a program record 1,694 yards (29.7 avg) and a program-record five touchdowns. Constant is also one of the premier receivers in the Northeast Conference, having caught 107 passes for 1,336 yards and 15 TDs in three seasons.
