Notes and Notables

  • Bryant returns nine linebackers from a year ago, including six that played in eight or more games a season ago.
  • The group is led by Nemerowicz, who enters his senior season ranked eighth all-time with 225 tackles. He posted 73 a season ago and added four sacks and 8.5 TFLs.
  • Brown is also back after an outstanding season in 2018. He posted 70 tackles, six TFLs, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, an interception and five pass breakups.
  • After posting just seven total tackles over the first three games, Brown averaged 7.8 tackles per game over the final eight.
  • The group will also benefit from one of the most veteran players on the roster in Ukele. The fifth-year has played in 30 games over the last three seasons and posted a career-high 51 tackles in 2017.
  • Ojukwu is also back as a fifth year and posted three sacks and six TFLs last fall.
  • Andreessen, LoChirco, Agnew and Saddler should all see increased time as well. Andreessen posted 11 tackles, LoChirco had 12 and Agnew collected three stops.

Fun Fact

  • Nemerowicz enters the 2019 season fourth among active FCS players with 8.30 tackles per game over the course of his career.
