SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Zevi Eckhaus was named the Phil Steele Northeast Conference Freshman of the Year and 18 Bulldogs were named all-league, the publication announced on Tuesday.

The honor adds to Eckhaus' impressive postseason hall, becoming the first Bulldog to earn the honor from Phil Steele. Bryant placed five on the first team, six on the second team, three on the third team and four on the fourth team.

Eckhaus was joined on the offensive first team by offensive lineman Mike Andrejco. The duo helped the Bulldogs lead the NEC in scoring and total offense.

Bryant's second team selections included Fabrice Mukendi, David Zorrilla, Jamichael Watts, Trevor Smith, Jack Daly and Luke Samperi.
