Bulldogs looks to fend off the Raiders on Saturday at Brown University (12 p.m.)

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University field hockey team takes on Colgate University at noon on Saturday at Brown University.

The Bulldogs (0-3) return to Rhode Island after a three-game road trip to host the Raiders (0-2) in their 2015 home opener.

The match will be held at Brown University, while Bryant's home turf is being renovated. Brown's field is familiar to the Bulldogs after having spent all of preseason practicing there.

Junior forward Victoria Danby (Lancaster, Mass.) has been an offensive force for the Black and Gold, scoring three goals off eight shots in the first three games of the season.

Freshman Emily Perryman (Lebanon, N.H.) and sophomore Anna Kennedy (Macungie, Pa.) have each notched six shots on the season, contributing to the team's 28-shot total.

Senior captain Nicole Plante (Smithfield, R.I.) leads the Bulldogs with two assists, aiding Danby on both accounts.

Both Bryant goalkeepers have seen time in net with senior Jenna Limone (Branford, Conn.) logging the majority. Freshman Marissa Elizardo (North Wales, Pa.) has totaled 35 minutes in the cage, including the start in the latest match against UC Davis. Limone has nine saves in three games, while Elizardo totals two in her first game appearance.

In similar fashion, the Raiders have experimented with their goal protection, utilizing Jacqueline Li for 40 minutes, while Maria Krull has seen just over 100 minutes. Li has raked in 17 saves, while Krull has prevented 20 attempts.

The Raiders' attack is led by Whitney Jones and Emily Brash who've each fired five shots on goal. Jones found the back of the cage on one of those attempts. Molly Klare and Stina Ladd have each added a score to Colgate's three-goal total.
