Bulldogs, Fairfield Friday at 3 p.m. and La Salle Sunday at 11 a.m.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – After finding the first conference win, the Bryant University field hockey team returns to play against, Fairfield on Friday afternoon and nonconference foe La Salle on Sunday morning in Smithfield.

The Bulldogs (3-12, 1-2 MAAC) defeated Sacred Heart, 1-0, in their latest match, marking their first conference win and first victory on the new turf in Smithfield. Freshman Emily Perryman (Lebanon, N.H.) found the lone goal of the match, which stood as the game-winning score and the midfielder's fifth of the season. Perryman has also contributed a trio of helpers in her 15 starts for the Bulldogs.

Junior Victoria Danby (Lancaster, Mass.) continues to lead the Bulldogs' attack with 22 points off 10 goals and two assists. Senior Bronwyn Walton (North Vancouver, B.C.) has also been key factor in offensive production, tallying nine points from three goals and three assists.

Freshman Marissa Elizardo (New Wales, Pa.) remains in the cage for the Black and Gold, after recording her first career shutout against Sacred Heart (Oct. 18). The keeper has logged 73 goals in her 13 appearances in net.

The Stags (4-8, 0-2 MAAC) are coming off a 5-4 conference loss to Rider, as well as 7-4 nonconference defeat by Columbia. Their attack is led by Ann Burgoyne with 22 points from 11 goals off 19 shots on frame. Caitlin Bennett has started all 11 games for the Stags, recording 61 saves and 34 goals against.

The Explorers (7-7, 3-3 A-10) are coming off a three-game winning streak, after beating Towson, 3-0, at home. The squad is led offensively by Jenica Miller with nine points off a single score and seven helpers, as well as Abbey Lawrence with eight points from four goals. Keeper Rachel Hartman has been the only goalie to see time this season, raking in 66 saves off 90 opponent attempts.
