Bulldogs finalize 2018 roster with two more signings

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Adding two more members to his Class of 2022, Bryant University Field Hockey head coach Joppe de Vries has rounded out his roster for the upcoming 2018 season.

Eva Bazen | The Hauge, Zuid, Holland | Gymnasium Haganum

Before Bryant: Graduated from Gymnasium Haganum … Earned third-place finish in Super-A Pool under head coach Norbert Nederlof as an attacker … Played club for HC Klein Zwitserland.

de Vries on Bazen: "With Eva coming, we are adding a strong, technical player to our program. She brings a lot of pace to the field and can score a lot of goals, two things we are looking for on our team for this season."

Victoria Wypych | Jackson, N.J. | Jackson Liberty HS

Before Bryant: Three-year starter for the Lions … Earned B-South Co-Championship in 2015 under head coach Ashley Forsyth … Two-time All-Division player in 2015 and 2016 … B-South Division Player of the Year in 2016 … Served two years as team captain.

de Vries on Wypych: "We are adding another fantastic freshman to our team. She has proven to be a solid student and she is a very gritty player on the field. She can play as a back or midfielder and that adds versatility to our lineup."
