de Vries adds three in early signing period

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University field hockey and head coach Joppe de Vries announced three new members to the incoming Class of 2023.

Sydney Swain | Midfielder/Back | Dartmouth, Mass.

Before Bryant 
A four-year member of the varsity field hockey team at the Moses Brown School under coach Leslie Jones …  Helped her team become Division I Regular Season Champions and State Runner Up two years in a row … Named First Team All-State, First Team All-Division, MAX Field Hockey Second Team All-Region and named to the Division I All-Tournament Team her junior and senior year … Led her high school squad as a captain during her senior season.

Personal
Daughter of Andrea and Michael Frost ... Has one brother, Daniel.

Phoebe Johnson | Forward/Midfielder | Shrewsbury, Mass.

Before Bryant
A four-year member of the varsity field hockey team at Shrewsbury High School … Helped lead her team to the league semi-finals her sophomore and junior year and to the league quarter finals during her senior season … Named League All-Star four years in a row … Led her team as a captain her senior year.

Daughter of Suzanne and Paul Johnson ... Has one brother, Quinn.

Grayson Green | Midfielder/Forward | Saunderstown, R.I.

A four-year varsity starter at La Salle Academy under Kimberly White … Earner Rookie of the Year in 2015 … Selected to the State All-Star Team three years in a row … Named Second Team All-Division as a junior First Team All-Division as a senior … Also lettered in indoor and outdoor track.

Daughter of Melissa and Michael Green ... Has one brother, Harrison ... Father ran track at the University of Tennessee for four years ... Grandfather played football at the University of Deleware for four years.
