SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University field hockey team fell to Rider, 5-1, on Friday afternoon.
Taryn Rauff scored her team-leading sixth goal of the year.

- Rider scored three times in the span of six minutes in the first quarter.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Rider scored three times in the first and added two more in the second to earn the victory. The Broncs opened the scoring 5:04 in and added goals at the 10:54 and 11:46 marks.
Bryant received its only goal from Rauff in the fourth quarter. The junior has now scored in each of the last two games and has a team-leading six goals.
BULLDOGS NOTES AND NOTABLES
- Rauff's six goals are the most since Tori Danby scored six in the 2016 season.
- Marijn Jaarsma made 14 saves.
