Bulldogs fall to Vermont on Friday

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Bryant University field hockey team fell to Vermont, 5-1, on Friday afternoon.

• The Catamounts scored twice in a 23-second stretch in the first quarter to take a 2-0 lead.    

First Quarter

• The Catamounts grabbed the lead with two goals just 23 seconds apart.
• Vermont would add a third goal before the period ended.

• Maddie Moran knocked one home in the second quarter to make it 4-0 at the break.

Third Quarter

Fourth Quarter

• Lotte Kanters scored her second goal of the game, this a hard drive on a penalty corner, to make it 5-0.
• Bryant got on the board with a goal from Olivia Clarke. Taryn Rauff made a run along the end line and fed it in front where Clarke slid in to knock it home.

Bryant Notes and Notables

• Clarke scored her third goal of the season.
• Rauff picked up her fourth assist, a new career high.
