Bryant downed by Wagner despite career night from Carroll
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Redshirt-freshman Brandon Carroll (Brewster, N.Y.) tallied his first-career double-double with 25 points and 12 rebounds, but the Bryant University men's basketball team fell to Wagner, 96-76, Thursday evening at the Spiro Sports Center.

- Bryant used an 11-0 run to take a seven-point advantage eight minutes into the contest, but a 16-2 Wagner run gave the Seahawks a seven-point lead 12 minutes in.
- A 26-4 Wagner run turned a seven-point Seahawk deficit into a 15-point Wagner advantage.
- The Bulldogs would follow with a 7-0 run, but Wagner responded and would lead by double digits for the rest of the contest.

- Bryant trailed 13-9 before an 11-0 run gave the Bulldogs a 20-13 advantage eight minutes into the game. Carroll had 10 of Bryant's first 20 points.
- Bryant led 26-19 before a 16-2 Wagner run gave the Seahawks a 35-28 lead with 7:36 to go in the opening half.
- The Seahawk cushion ballooned to 45-30 before eight straight Bulldog points brought Bryant back within seven at 45-38 with 4:01 to go in the half.
- Wagner led 54-43 at the half despite Bryant shooting a blistering 73.7 percent from the floor.
- An 8-1 run early in the first half lifted the Wagner lead to 72-51 with 14:37 to go in the half.
- The Seahawks led by as many as 25 in the second half before the Bulldogs closed out the game with the final five points.

- Carroll led the Bulldogs with 25 points and 12 rebounds while shooting 8-of-13 from the floor.
- Sophomore Ikenna Ndugba (Boston, Mass.) added 21 points, while sophomore Tanner Johnson (Lexington, Ky.) chipped in 13.
- Sophomore Adam Grant (Franklin, Va.) collected a career-best seven assists.
- Bryant shot a season-best 52.0 percent from the floor, while Wagner shot 50.0 percent.
- Wagner outrebounded Bryant, 37-30.
GAME NOTES
- Bryant falls to 5-11 all-time against Wagner.
- Carroll recorded the fifth double-double by a Bulldog this season and was the fourth different Bryant player to achieve the feat, joining Ikenna Ndugba (11/24, 12/9), senior Bosko Kostur (Melbourne, Australia) (12/31) and redshirt-freshman Monty Urmilevicius (Kaunas, Lithuania) (1/25).
- Ndugba scored 20 or more points for the sixth time this season and seventh time in his career.
- The starting lineup of Ndugba, Grant, senior Hunter Ware (Powder Springs, Ga.), Johnson and Carroll was the 17th different starting five in 26 games – the highest total in the nation.
