SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Bryant University men's basketball team returns to action for its penultimate non-conference game when the Bulldogs host Dartmouth in a Friday matinee at the Chace Athletic Center.

SCOUTING THE BIG GREEN
Dartmouth is 8-5 on the year and on a four-game winning streak with victories over Maine, Sacred Heart, Boston University and Albany. The Big Green came back from down 16 to defeat the Great Danes Saturday in Albany.
Five Dartmouth players are averaging double figures in scoring, led by Chris Knight at 15.4 points per game. Knight has also grabbed a team-high 7.8 rebounds per game. Brendan Barry leads the nation in three-point field-goal percentage at 55.8 percent.
THE SERIES
The Bulldogs and Big Green are meeting for the eighth consecutive season with Dartmouth holding a 4-3 advantage in the series.
The Big Green recorded a 75-58 victory in Hanover a year ago. Three Bulldogs were in double figures, led by 16 points from Brandon Carroll (Bronx, N.Y.).

Junior SaBastian Townes (Chesapeake, Va.) scored a career-high 34 points and redshirt-senior Byron Hawkins (Fort Washington, Md.) reached the 1,000-point mark for his career, but a big first-half run pushed Hartford past Bryant Dec. 12 at the Chace Athletic Center.
GOOD COMPANY
Junior SaBastian Townes' 34 points against Hartford rank fifth in a single game in Bryant's Division I era. Only two Bulldogs have scored more in a game: Alex Francis, who scored 44 against LIU Brooklyn in 2011, and Dyami Starks, who posted three 35-point efforts in non-conference play in 2013. Francis and Starks rank first and second in Bryant's D1 era in scoring.

Redshirt-senior Byron Hawkins hit a three-pointer in the second half of Bryant's game against Hartford to reach the 1,000-point plateau for his collegiate career. Hawkins scored 643 points in two seasons at Towson and 215 in one year at Murray State before joining the Bulldogs this season.
AG EYEING 1K FRIDAY
Junior Adam Grant (Franklin, Va.) enters Friday's game four points away from 1,000 in Black & Gold. Grant would be the sixth 1,000-point scorer in Bryant's Division I era and fifth to do so in three years or less.
BYRON GETS BUCKETS
Redshirt-senior Byron Hawkins has scored 11 or more points in all nine games since joining the Bulldogs prior to this season. The graduate transfer is second on the team in scoring at 15.9 points per game.

Bryant will play its final non-conference game Saturday, Dec. 29, when the Bulldogs face No. 23 Iowa on ESPNU.
