Benson Lin signs with Bryant

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University head men's basketball coach Jared Grasso has announced the addition of Benson Lin (New Taipei City, Taiwan) to the Bulldog program.

"Benson is a skilled and cerebral guard who can really make shots," said Grasso. "Benson's success in prep school and at the international level will have him prepared to make an impact for us immediately."

Lin joins the Black & Gold after a postgraduate year at St. Andrew's School in Barrington, Rhode Island, where he averaged 17.2 points per game and knocked down 108 three-pointers in 33 games for a St. Andrew's team that won the New England Class AA Championship.

The 6-foot-4 guard has gained experience playing for the Chinese Taipei National Team and graduated from Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia before joining St. Andrew's for his postgrad season.

Bryant begins its 2019-20 season Tuesday, Nov. 5, against Brown at the Chace Athletic Center. Full non-conference schedule information will be available later this summer.
