Kiss named NEC Player of the Week

SOMERSET, N.J. -- Bryant University men's basketball senior Peter Kiss was named the Northeast Conference Player of the Week on Monday.

Kiss picks up his third player of the week honor following another big week for the Black and Gold. He averaged 33.0 ppg, 6.5 rpg and 2.0 apg in a 2-0 week for the Bulldogs. 

The nation's leading scorer at 24.8 ppg, Kiss went for 36 points in Thursday's victory over Central Connecticut. Kiss now has games of 37, 36 and 35 this year. He followed that up with 30 points on Saturday vs FDU, his fifth-consecutive 30-point effort. Kiss made 54 percent of his shots from the field and finished 12-of-15 from the charity stripe. He's now scored 25+ points in nine-straight games, the second-longest streak nationally in the last 10 years (Trae Young - 14). 

In addition, Charles Pride was named an #NECPrimePerformer. Pride averaged 17.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg and 3.5 apg. On Saturday, Pride scored 24 points, hitting a three with 10:32 remaining to become the seventh player in DI program history to score 1,000 points.
