Bryant stays in-state for Monday and Tuesday tournament at Quidnessett

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. – The Bryant University golf team competes in its final tune-up for the Northeast Conference Championship when the Bulldogs take the short trip to Quidnessett Country Club for the Rhode Island Invitational.

The Bulldogs will play 18 holes Monday beginning at 1 p.m. and 18 Tuesday starting at 8 a.m. in the final spring tournament to prepare for the NEC Championship at the end of the month. The event was shortened from 54 holes to 36 due to rain in the forecast Monday morning.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Bryant was last in action April 7-8 at the Towson Invitational, placing 13th out of 17 teams.
  • Junior Ryan Brown (Bedford, N.H.) led the Black and Gold with a 24th-place result (+11) in wet and windy conditions at the 36-hole event on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
  • Sophomore Payton Kim (Palatine, Ill.) placed 33rd (+13) out of 90 golfers while playing as an individual and will be in the Bulldog lineup for this week's event.
  • Junior Cameron Giles (Acton, Mass.) is slated to make his 2018 debut, playing as an individual.
  • Sophomore Connor Henderson (Southborough, Mass.) posted a top-10 result (+6) in Bryant's spring opener in Florida at the Lonnie Barton Invitational March 5-6.
  • Bryant placed second as a team last year at the event with Ryan Tombs earning individual medalist honors.
