Bryant treks to Vermont for penultimate fall tournament

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – It is a quick turnaround for the Bryant University men's golf team. After finishing play in Hartford on Tuesday, the team heads to Quechee Vermont for the Quechee Club Intercollegiate, hosted by Dartmouth College.

Course: Lakeland Course at the Quechee Club | 6,670 yards (Par 72)
Teams: Brown, Bryant, Bucknell, Cornell, Dartmouth (host), Drexel, Fordham, Hartford, Harvard, Holy Cross, Princeton, Siena.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Bryant is coming off an eighth-place finish in the Hartford Hawks Invitational. The Bulldogs finished with a two-day total of 586, one shot behind fellow Northeast Conference foe Sacred Heart.
  • Sophomore Nick Piersall (Portland, Conn.) led the way for the Bulldogs, with a two-day total of 1-under 143 that tied him for 22nd for the tournament. Freshman Tyler Hahn (Avon, Conn.) and junior Matthew Stafford (Suffield, Conn.) each finished at 1-over 145 to tie for 28th.
  • Piersall has a pair of Top-25 finishes to his name to start the 2018 season, finishing tied for 22nd at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate and Hartford Hawks Invitational.
  • Junior Connor Henderson (Southborough, Mass.) has the team's highest finish, tying for ninth at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial. That helped lead the Bulldogs to a second-place finish at the tournament.
