Coach Blanchard Wins Connecticut Senior Open

Groton, Conn. - Head Coach Charlie Blanchard of the Bryant Universit men's golf team won the 39th Connecticut Senior Open on Tuesday with a final-round total of nine-under (133).

The Connecticut Senior Open was held at the Shennecossett Golf Course in Groton, Conn. The event consisted of two rounds played on Monday and Tuesday. Coach Blanchard shot a 65 in round one and a 69 in round two to secure the victory. He produced 11 birdies total in the tournament, seven during round one and four in the final round. 

This is the first professional victory of Coach Blanchard's career.
