SMITHFIELD, R.I. – With its fourth-straight Northeast Conference Tournament berth already clinched, the No. 20/15 Bryant University men's lacrosse team hosts Wagner College Saturday afternoon in the 2014 regular-season  finale for Senior Day at the Bryant Turf Complex at 1:00 p.m.

The Seahawks (2-10, 0-5 NEC) are looking to wrap up their season with their first league victory of the year against the Bulldogs (11-4, 4-1), who are the No. 2 seed heading into the NEC Tournament May 1-3.

Wagner enters the game with five double-digit point getters, paced by 28 points from Patrick McMenamin, who also leads the team in goals (16) and assists (12). Griffen LeClaire sits right behind with 25 points off 14 goals and 11 helpers, while Paul DeVita's 13 goals and four helpers (17 points) sit third overall. Corey Santor is the only other Seahawk with double-figure goals (10) and sits fifth on the scoring charts with 12 points.

Bryant junior Kevin Massa (Huntington, N.Y.) will see a pair of Wagner faceoff specialists at the X in William McMenamin (.514) and Anthony Labetti (.449), as the duo also leads the team in ground balls with 43 and 30, respectively. Massa boasts the nation's top faceoff winning percentage (.694) and enters the game 218-of-314 overall with 155 ground balls. His 10.33 ground balls per game rank third in the national statistics.

Massa's play at the X will look to kickstart a Bryant offense that averages just over 10 goals per game and is paced by redshirt-sophomore attack Shane Morrell (Glen Mills, Pa.). Morrell boasts 42 points off a team-leading 28 goals with 14 helpers, while senior midfielder Colin Dunster (Cos Cob, Conn.) is also a 30-point scorer with 26 tallies and eight assists on the season. Senior midfielder Alex Zomerfeld (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) and rookie attack Tucker James (Essex Fells, N.J.) both boast 29 points on the year, while sophomore Collins Gantz (Denver, Colo.) (23 points) and senior Dan Sipperly (Greenwich, N.Y.) (22) round out the team's 20-point scorers.

Wagner netminder Nicholas Gibaldi will look to keep the Bulldog scoring ranks out of the net and enters the game with a 12.08 goals against average and .494 save percentage with 130 stops in 12 starts on the year. Sophomore Gunnar Waldt (Freeland, Md.) will counter in net for the Black and Gold, entering the game ranked in the nation's top 10 in goals against average, saves per game and save percentage.

"Tuesday against Brown, we didn't have our best stuff," said Bryant head coach Mike Pressler, "so I think there is a lot of motivation to play hard and play well on many fronts."

Saturday's contest marks the final home game for Bulldog seniors JK Poirier (Coatesville, Pa.), Matt MacGrotty (New Westminster, British Columbia), Bo Redpath (Norwich, Vt.), Rob Goeren (Massapequa, N.Y.), Bruce Pirie (Oakland, N.J.), Nike Dutra (Danville, Calif.), Patrick Emmer (Skaneateles,  N.Y.), Gerry Smith (Narbeth, Pa.), Ryan Jarvis (Annapolis, Md.), Dunster, Sipperly and Zomerfeld.

"These 12 seniors, like the class before them, have been a huge part of the success we've experienced in the Division I era at Bryant – from the NEC Championship to our first appearance ever in the NCAA tournament," said Pressler. "Tomorrow we honor them, and we expect to play very hard and very well against Wagner."
