Massa, Dent selected to participate in 2015 USILA North/South Game

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – After leading the Bryant University men's lacrosse team to its fourth-straight Northeast Conference title and third-consecutive trip to the NCAA tournament, senior captains Kevin Massa (Huntington, N.Y.) and Connor Dent (Havertown, Pa.) have been selected to participate in the 2015 USILA/LaxWorld North/South Game.

The duo was selected to play for the North in an exhibition that will take place Friday, May 22 at Cabrini College in Radnor, Pa. Massa and Dent are the two of the four players selected out of the Northeast Conference.

A three-time USILA All-American and the first-ever four-time All-NEC First Team pick, Massa is a three-time NEC Player of the Year who will go down in lacrosse history as one of the best to ever grace the faceoff X. A seven-time NCAA record holder, he owns four NCAA career marks for faceoffs won (1,117), faceoffs taken (1,638), ground balls (753) and ground balls per game (9.92). Named a Third Team All-American as a senior, Massa championed the 2015 rule changes to remain one of the top faceoff specialists in the nation this spring. The senior captain also earned his fourth NEILA All-New England selection this season and finishes his senior campaign ranked fourth nationally at the X (.669) and third in ground balls per game (8.89).

A four-year starting defenseman for the Black and Gold, Dent anchored the Bulldogs' 10th-ranked defense, taking over top cover duties midway through the season and limiting the nation's top two scorers in Brown's Dylan Molloy and Albany's Lyle Thompson to just one and two goals, respectively. Dent earned an All-NEC First Team nod in 2015 and led the Bulldogs with 17 caused turnovers on the season while adding 46 ground balls, second only to Massa.

The Bulldogs have had at least one player selected to the North/South Game in all seven seasons since joining the Division I ranks back in 2009.
