Massa caps off stellar career with ECAC All-Star recognition

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University senior faceoff specialist Kevin Massa (Huntington, N.Y.) continues to rack up postseason honors, earning an ECAC All-Star Second Team selection for his 2015 performance.

Massa's ECAC All-Star nod comes on the back of a USILA Third Team All-America honor, his third-straight All-American selection as a Bulldog. Already a four-time NEILA All-New England pick and the first four-time all-conference first team honoree in Northeast Conference history, the captain was named the NEC Player of the Year in each of the last three seasons.

In 2015, Massa championed rule changes at the X to remain at the top of the lacrosse landscape, finishing his final campaign ranked fourth nationally in faceoff winning percentage (.669) and third in ground balls per game (8.89) while leading the Bulldogs to their fourth-straight NEC title and third NCAA tournament appearance.

The owner of seven NCAA records, Massa finishes his career recognized among the best to ever play his position, leaving the collegiate ranks with four all-time Division I career marks (ground balls, ground balls/game, faceoffs won, faceoffs taken), two single-season records (ground balls, ground balls/game) and one single-game high (faceoff winning percentage).
