Bryant Sports Network announces 47-game spring schedule, first-ever track and field broadcast

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University Athletics and the Bryant Sports Network is excited to announce the most comprehensive broadcast schedule in league history, a 47-game schedule that includes the first-ever outdoor track and field webcast on NEC Front Row.

The package, which is free of charge and streamed in high definition, includes at least one webcast from every spring sport home game. The BSN will stream every home men's and women's lacrosse game, 16 baseball games, 11 softball games, two tennis matches and Bryant's first home track meet in five years.

It all gets underway on Saturday, Feb. 6 when the four-time NEC champion men's lacrosse team hosts Manhattan in the 2016 season opener at 1:00 p.m. All eight of the men's game will be streamed this season, including marquee matchups against preseason No. 9 Yale (Mar. 5) and No. 15 Harvard (Mar. 8).

The two-time defending NEC women's lacrosse champs will debut on Friday, Feb. 19 when they host UC Davis at the Track and Turf Complex. Bryant will then host one of the biggest games in program history as it welcomes Stony Brook on Sunday, Feb. 28. The Seawolves went 17-4 last season and are ranked No. 8 in the Inside Lacrosse preseason poll.

Bryant's softball and baseball teams will also be heavily featured this spring. Viewers will be in for a treat as the BSN has added a 1080p HD camera in center field of both baseball and softball, allowing for a better view of gameplay.  The Bulldog softball team will play its first two months on the road before opening its home schedule on Tuesday, April 5 against Albany. The BSN will also air the Bulldogs' home doubleheader with conference power LIU Brooklyn (Apr. 9) and their game against local rival Providence (Apr. 13).

The Bryant baseball team also begins the season with a long road trip before opening up Conaty Park against Hartford (Mar. 23) on NEC Front Row. The BSN will feature the Black and Gold 16 times during the season with key home dates against Northeast power Stony Brook (Apr. 22-24) and NEC rival Sacred Heart (Apr. 29 and May 1) highlighting the schedule.

Bryant tennis will appear twice on NEC Front Row in 2016, as the Bulldogs will stream men's and women's matches for the fifth-straight year. The BSN will feature doubleheaders against Fairleigh Dickinson (Mar. 26) and Sacred Heart (Apr. 16). The Bryant men and women are both coming off NEC championships in the spring of 2015.

The highlight of the 2016 schedule comes on April 2nd as the BSN will make league history with the first-ever track and field webcast. Bryant's Track and Turf Complex underwent a renovation during the summer of 2015 and the Bulldogs will be able to host their first home meet since Apr. 3, 2011.
