SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University men's lacrosse senior netminder Gunnar Waldt (Freeland, Md.) caps off a standout four-year career between the pipes with his third USILA All-America honor.

The Bulldogs grabbed at least a share of the regular-season Northeast Conference crown with a 10-4 regular season and 5-1 mark in the conference.

Waldt did not disappoint as the Bulldog goalie in his final campaign, posting 12 double-digit save outings and six games in which he allowed seven or fewer goals. He recorded 165 saves, allowed 124 goals and went 10-5 starting in all 15 games. The senior led the NEC with 11 saves per game, ranking 18th nationally. He finished the season second in the conference in save percentage (57.1) and goals-against average (8.45), numbers that ranked eighth and 12th in the country, respectively.

The Freeland, Md., product became the program's all-time leader in saves during the season, as he exits with 739. He sits in the top-10 all time among Bryant keepers with an 8.37 goals-against average, 40 wins and a 57.8 save percentage.

Along with his third USILA All-America selection, Waldt added an All-NEC Second Team selection, NEILA All-New England Second Team nod, four NEC Defensive Player of the Week honors and his second Tewaaraton Award Semifinalist pick in 2016 to his impressive list of accolades.

Waldt will continue his playing career in the MLL when he joins the Florida Launch after the team made him their 28th overall pick in the fourth round of this year's draft.
