Bulldogs picked No. 25 in Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook rankings

BALTIMORE – The Bryant University men's lacrosse team was selected No. 25 in the nation in the 2018 Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook, announced Wednesday by Inside Lacrosse.

Bryant won its fifth Northeast Conference title in 2017 and captured a victory over Monmouth in the NCAA Opening Round. The Bulldogs have collected five NEC titles and four NCAA tournament appearances since 2012.

Bryant returns two first-team NEC all-conference selections from a year ago in senior Tom Kennedy (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and senior Kenny Massa (Huntington, N.Y.). Kennedy tallied 24 goals, 15 assists and 25 ground balls for the Bulldogs a year ago. Massa was the conference's top faceoff specialist, winning 58.4 percent and collecting 120 ground balls, good for seventh in the nation. The Bulldogs also return senior goalie James Werner (New Rochelle, N.Y.), who ranked in the top 10 nationally in goals-against average (7.85) and save percentage (.552).

The Black and Gold open the 2018 regular season at home Saturday, Feb. 3, when Bryant hosts Manhattan at 1 p.m. The full 2018 schedule is available by clicking HERE.
