Kennedy honored on Tewaaraton Watch List

NEW YORK -  Bryant University men's lacrosse senior Tom Kennedy (Farmingdale, N.Y.) has been named as a watch list selection for the 2018 Tewaaraton Award, given to the top player in college lacrosse. The watch list was unveiled at an event in Manhattan Thursday evening.

Kennedy ranks tied for second on the Bulldogs in 2018 with 13 points on eight goals and five assists entering Saturday's game against No. 11 Yale. The senior midfielder is one point away from 100 for his Bryant career heading into Saturday's contest.

The two-sport athlete was a Northeast Conference first-team all-conference selection in lacrosse and football during the 2017 calendar year. Kennedy tallied 24 goals, 15 assists and 25 ground balls during the 2017 lacrosse season to help the Bulldogs to their fifth NEC title in the last six years.

In the fall, Kennedy rejoined the Bryant football team and ranked third in the NEC with 888 receiving yards and tied for third with 12 total touchdowns.

Kennedy is the fifth Bulldog to earn Tewaaraton watch list status, joining Zack Greer (2009), Mason Poli (2012, 2013), Kevin Massa (2014, 2015) and Gunnar Waldt (2014, 2015, 2016).

Bryant returns to action Saturday when the Bulldogs host No. 11 Yale. Tickets are available by clicking HERE.
