Horan named to NEILA Academic All-Region Team
AMHERST, Mass. – Bryant University men's lacrosse redshirt-junior Jack Horan (San Rafael, Calif.) was named to the NEILA Academic All-Region Team for his performance on the field and in the classroom in 2019.
Horan was a second-team All-NEC selection on defense in 2019 with 23 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers for the Black & Gold. The California native started all 14 games for Bryant while serving as a team captain.
Horan, who earned his undergraduate degree in finance in May, will pursue an MBA at Bryant while playing the final year of his Bulldog lacrosse career in 2020.
This year saw an increase of 36 student-athletes who meet the criteria for the NEILA Academic All-Region Team, which requires that nominees must have senior standing, a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale, and be a significant enough player that he was nominated for at least all-conference selection.
