O'Rourke named to Tewaaraton Watch List

WASHINGTON – Bryant University men's lacrosse junior Marc O'Rourke (Hingham, Mass.) has been named to the final Watch List for the 2020 Tewaaraton Award, as announced by the Tewaaraton Foundation.

O'Rourke ranked fourth in the nation with 26 goals at the end of the shortened 2020 season. The junior attackman broke Bryant's Division I single-game goals record and matched the all-time program mark for a single game with seven in a March 7 win over Stony Brook before replicating the effort with seven goals three days later at No. 5 North Carolina. The Massachusetts native concluded the 2020 season on pace to break Bryant's D1 single-season marks for goals and points.

O'Rourke is Bryant's seventh Tewaaraton Watch List honoree in the last seven seasons, joining Tom Kennedy (2018), Gunnar Waldt (2014, 2015, 2016) and Kevin Massa (2014, 2015).

The 2020 Tewaaraton Award and other accompanying honors will not be handed out due to the shortened season. The 2020 Tewaaraton Native American Scholarships will be given.
