Alexander honored by USILA and NEC

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University men's lacrosse freshman Jacob Alexander has been named to the USILA Team of the Week and the Northeast Conference Co-Player of the Week.

Alexander has a historic performance at the faceoff X against LIU last week, winning 30-of-40 faceoffs in a wild 20-17 victory. The 30 faceoff wins are a program record and are tied for the third most in NCAA Division I history. Alexander has scored a goal and finished with a career-high 16 ground balls.

In addition, Bennett Abladian was named the NEC Co-Rookie of the Week and Marc O'Rourke and Logan McGovern were named NEC Prime Performers. Abladian scored a career-high five goals against LIU, O'Rourke scored seven points (6g, 1a) and McGovern posted his second-straight eight-point game (3g, 5a).
