Hackett earns America East Rookie of the Week honor

BOSTON -- Bryant University men's lacrosse freshman Johnny Hackett was named the America East Rookie of the Week on Monday.

Hackett is now a three-time honoree and the Bulldogs have won the rookie of the week honor each of the first four weeks.

On Saturday, Hackett notched four goals on six shots as the Bulldogs defeated Manhattan, 15-12. Bryant scored four times in the final six minutes of the third quarter and Hackett netted two of them. He completed his hat trick in the final minute to close out the Bryant victory.

Hackett now has 13 goals in the first four games of the season.
