Bleau-Prevost records first career goal, Bulldogs win 2-1

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Powered by goals from senior Lucas Guerriero (Pickering, Ont.) and redshirt freshman Zachary Bleau-Prevost (Boucherville, Quebec), the Bryant University men's soccer team earned a 2-1 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday afternoon in Teaneck, N.J.

The victory extended the Bulldogs' (8-4-3, 4-0-2 NEC) unbeaten streak to nine games. Bryant, however, still sits in second place in the Northeast Conference standings with 14 points. League-leading Saint Francis U. defeated CCSU 2-1 on Sunday, giving the Red Flash 15 points.

On Sunday, the Bulldogs got on the board quick as Guerreiro took advantage of a turnover in the box and converted in the 13th minute. Bryant doubled its lead in the 37th minute as Bleau-Prevost deposited a shot into the far right corner for his first-career goal.

The Knights broke up the clean sheet in the 66th minute as Christian Dietrich fired a shot into the upper left corner from 15 yards out.

Chris Knaub (Yarmouth, Maine) earned his seventh win of the season with four saves in net.

Bryant wraps up its regular season next Sunday, Nov. 9 at Central Connecticut. The game is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
