Men's soccer welcomes class of 2020
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's soccer program and head coach Seamus Purcell are pleased to announce the Class of 2020.
This group of seven future Bulldogs looks to help the Bryant men's soccer team back to the Northeast Conference Tournament and claim their first conference title in Division I program history.
James Cochrane | D | 6-1 | Sandy Hook, Conn. | Newtown
Three-year varsity centerback and two-year varsity track athlete … Helped lead his team to the Southwest Conference Semifinals and an appearance in the state tournament in 2015 … Earned First Team All-SWC as a senior (2015) … Honor Roll student and participated in unified sports.
Personal: Son of Peter and Elizabeth Cochrane, James Cochran was born on Sept. 5, 1998.
Alexander Eby | D | 5-10 | Kalamazoo, Mich. | Portaeg Central
Two-year varsity defender at Portaeg Central High School … Helped his team to win the State and Region 2 Championships in 2013 … Led team to a third place finish in the national league and semi-finals finish in the Super Y Nationals … Named to the district and all-conference teams as a senior (2015) … High-Honor Roll student.
Personal: Son of Scott and Barbara Eby, Alexander Eby was born on June 21, 1997 … He has two sisters, Olivia and Victoria.
George Gill | M | 5-9 | Cork, Munster, Ireland | St. Francis
Four-year varsity midfielder at St. Francis … Helped lead his team to win the u19 League of Ireland Championship in 2015 and u19 League of Champions Cup winners in 2014 … Played for the Senior League of Ireland at age 16.
Personal: Son of Pat and Wynn Gill, George Gill was born on March 23, 1997. He has two brothers, Dan and Tom.
Olivier Larente | GK | 6-1 | Garches, France | American School of Paris
Three-year varsity goalkeeper at the American School of Paris … Helped lead his team to a Semifinals appearance in the District Cup in 2014 … Earned Division I All-Tournament goalkeeper as a senior and Division II All-Tournament as a junior … Received Best Goalkeeper Award in u15 International Challenge (France) in 2012 … A Global Academic Personal Excellence and Service Learning (GAPS) mentor.

Trevor Lyne | D/M/F | 6-0 | Feeding Hills, Mass. | Suffield Academy
Four-year varisty soccer and baseball player at Suffield Academy … Helped lead his soccer team to the NEPSAC Class B Semifinals as a senior (2015) … As the starting pitcher helped his baseball team to WNEPBL post season appearances, including WNEPBL Division Champions in 2013 and WNEPBL Semifinalists in 2014 … Honor Roll student all four years at Suffield Academy.

State Finals MVP as a senior (2015) … Honor Roll student all four years at La Salle.

Zachary Valckenaere | D/M | 5-9 | Wappingers Falls, N.Y. | Arlington
Three-year varsity midfielder for Arlington, High School in Lagrangeville, N.Y. … Helped lead his team to back-to-back championships, winning N.Y. League A Championship in 2014 and N.Y. Section 1 Class AA Championship in 2015 … Received Section 1 All-League Honorable Mention as a junior and Section 1 All-League in 2015, after leading his team in assists … National Honors Society member and a part of the FBLA Link Crew.
