Larocque continues career with Sandvikens IF of Sweden

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University men's soccer alumnus Brett Larocque ('16) continues his career in Sweden after a successful four-year campaign in Smithfield, where the two-time All-NEC selection graduated atop the Bulldogs' all-time record books in six categories.

Larocque made his debut for Sandvikens IF of Sweden's Division II in the 81st minute of team's 6-0 win June 11, in which the Ottawa, Ontario, native deferred his penalty kick opportunity to a teammate sitting on a possible hat trick.

This is Larocque's second go-around at the next level, having played for FC Buffalo, a member of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), in 2015, between his junior and senior seasons at Bryant. The Bulldogs' all-time leader in career points and goals appeared in 14 games for the national amateur league, scoring six goals. The striker was voted both Best Offensive Player and Unsung Hero by FC Buffalo's players and staff in 2015.

Sandvikens IF currently leads the Division II Norrland League with a 10-2 record.
