Larente earns second weekly honor

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University men's soccer freshman keeper Olivier Larente (Garches, France) has been named the Northeast Conference Co-Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Larente dealt with wet conditions and pouring rain to post his first career shutout in a 3-0 win over Robert Morris on Friday. The freshman goalkeeper then made a couple of key stops in Bryant's 1-1 double-overtime draw against Saint Francis U. on Sunday. In 200 minutes of action, Larente made five saves and the only goal he allowed was a penalty kick against SFU. The Garches, France native has posted a 0.90 goals against average in his first four matches between the pipes.

Bryant is back in action on Friday at Sacred Heart at 3:00 p.m., before returning home for Senior Day on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. against St. Francis Brooklyn.
