Purcell adds three to 2018 roster

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's soccer team added three new members to its roster for the fall season, head coach Seamus Purcell announced Wednesday.

Chris Cuillo | Mansfield, Mass. | Mount St. Charles Academy

Before Bryant: Earned 2018 first team all-division and second team all-state honors as a defender for Paul Jacques … Honored with RIIL Student-Athlete of the Month in 2017 … Also owns school's long jump record … lettered four years in varsity track as well.

Will Swart | Little Compton, R.I. | Portsmouth HS

Before Bryant: Started his final three seasons with the Patriots … made state quarterfinals in all three starting seasons, including state final appearance in 2017 … Two-time first-team all-state honoree in 2017 and 2018 … 2018 Newport county Player of the Year … saved 89 percent of shots on goal his senior season … Earned 2017 Scholar-Athlete Award with 3.70 GPA … also lettered three years playing basketball.

Before Bryant: Two-time Winstars Showcase MVP for the Colt … top scorer for the Colt in each of his final two seasons … served as team captain in 2017 campaign … born in London … three-time honor roll member from 2015-2017.
