Bryant releases 2018 schedule; will open on road at Howard August 24

FULL 2018 BRYANT MEN'S SOCCER SCHEDULE

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's soccer team and head coach Seamus Purcell have announced the 2018 schedule, starting with a road game against Howard on August 24. Bryant will play three NCAA Tournament teams from the 2017 season, including a pair of conference champions.

"We had a very productive spring season, doing a lot of team and individual training sessions, both on the field and in the classroom to get us ready for this fall," Purcell said. "I am confident that we are all on the same page and understand what needs to be done so that we can be successful this season.  We have added eight very talented freshmen, with these additions I feel this gives us more depth than ever before.  If we can stay healthy we all believe this will be the year that we get back to the playoffs and contend for the NEC Championship."

After their season opener with the Bison, the Bulldogs start their seven-game home schedule against Rhode Island (August 27). A quick two-game road-trip follows, featuring Brown (August 31) and 2017 Atlantic 10 Champion UMass (September 3).

The second in back-to-back matchups with tourney teams will be at the Bulldog Soccer Field, with Bryant playing host to Fordham (September 8).

A quick one-game road trip down to Long Island against Stony Brook (September 15) sets up a three-game homestand for the Bulldogs, featuring Yale (September 23) and Northeast Conference foes Robert Morris (September 28) and Saint Francis U (September 30).

The conference schedule rolls on with Fairleigh Dickinson (October 5) on the road and St. Francis Brooklyn (October 14) at home.

Bryant's lone road conference weekend sends them to Mount St. Mary's (October 19) and Sacred Heart (October 21).

LIU Brooklyn (October 27) will be the Bulldogs' final home game of the 2018 regular season, while they wrap up the campaign against Central Connecticut (November 2).
