Bulldogs Notes and Notables

  • The Bulldogs are coming off a 3-0 loss on Labor Day to UMass in which the Minutemen scored three goals in six of the final 15 minutes to quickly pull away from a Bryant team that had played well.
  • Freshman Ben Williams (Unionville, Ontario) was a bright spot for the Bulldogs in midfield, as he created his first shot on goal as well as contributing good minutes in the midfield.
  • Sophomores Charles DeSantis (Saint-Mathias-Sur-Richeleu, Quebec, Canada) and Antonio Terceros (Toronto, Ontario) have recorded goals for the Bulldogs this season.
  • DeSantis leads Bryant with seven total shots on the campaign, while Terceros has the lead in the shots on frame department with three.
  • Junior Olivier Larente (Garches, France) enters the weekend with a 2.75 goals-against average and .560 save percentage.

A bit about the Minutemen

  • Fordham is a perfect 3-0 on the season, winning three matches away from the Bronx to start 2018.
  • After a season-opening win at Holy Cross, the Rams took down a pair of Big Ten foes at the Wisconsin Invitational, defeating the Badgers 1-0 in double-overtime and Northwestern on Monday 3-2 in overtime.
  • The Rams entered the year at No. 16 on the season, but have since climbed to No. 11 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll.
  • Six different players have scored a goal for Fordham this season, with all being tied atop the team leaderboard. Johannes Pieles provided the winner on Saturday night, while Bart Dziedzic deflected in a cross Monday to win it.
  • In between the posts, Rashid Nuhu started both games in the Badger State after not starting the season opener, recording a 0.91 goals-against average while stopping four of the six shots on his goal.
