Konrad Lech qualified for the ECAC's at Saturday's meet at Boston College.

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Prior to Saturday's New England Invitational at Boston College, the Bryant University men's swim team had five athletes heading to the ECAC Championships in Pittsburgh.   But following the New England's this past weekend, it looks like they'll be joined by three more teammates who punched their tickets to the Steel City with great performances Saturday.

Bryant's Sean Martell (Nashua, N.H.) set a new school record at BC in the 100 breaststroke as the sophomore took first-place overall in the event in a time of 1:00.22.  Teammate Konrad Lech (Portland, Maine) was second in 1:03.06 while Thomas Huynh (Malden, Mass.) was third in 1:03.07.

Huynh would later add a first-place finish in the 100 yard butterfly in 53.20 seconds while sophomore Alex Kosenski (Lavalette, N.J.) was first in the 100 freestyle in 49 seconds flat.

The 200 yard medley relay squad of Sinclair, Martell, Huynh and Kosenski qualified for the ECAC's thanks to a tremendous performance in placing first in 1:39.15, as did the 200 free relay team of Kevin McDonald (North Haven, Conn.), Huynh, Steve Nguyen (San Jose, Calif.) and Kosenski after a first-place finish in 1:29.60.

Both Lech and Martell will be traveling to the ECAC's along with freshman Steve Sinclair (Middleton, Mass.) who had a big day earning first-place honors in the 200 freestyle in a time of 1:47.98.

The championships are set to begin February 26 and will run through the weekend ending Sunday, February 28.
