Bulldogs win fourth-straight dual meet Saturday against Iona

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Sophomore Ben Schulte (Tumon, Guam) won three events to lead the Bryant University men's swimming and diving team to a big 146-116 victory over MAAC rival Iona on Saturday at the Chace Athletic Center Pool.

Facing their only MAAC opponent of the dual meet season, the Bulldogs won their fourth-straight dual meet.

Schulte won the 200 and 500 free and the 200 IM on the afternoon. He won the 200 free with a time of 1:43.93, the 500 free with a time of 4:46.94 and the 200 IM with a time of 1:58.01.

The Black and Gold also received first-place finishes from Colin Curtin (Wethersfield, Conn.), Tavish Boyle (Springfield, N.J.) and Boris Paraliticci (Saunderstown, R.I.). Curtin won the 100 back with a time of 53.41, Boyle won the 100 and 200 breast events and Paraliticci claimed the 100 fly with a time of 54.05.

Bryant went 1-2 in four events on the afternoon and swept the top three spots in the 200 IM.
