As a junior: Swam in six different events during the 2016-17 season ... Matched his career-best in the 200 fly at Holy Cross ... Also swam the 100 free, 200 free, 500 free and 1000 free.

As a sophomore: Missed a good portion of the 2015-16 season with an injury ... Competed in seven events ... Swam the 200 fly, 500 free and 200 free at the MAAC Championships ... Posted a time of 2:10.00 in the 200 fly, a time of 4:58.90 in the 500 free and a time of 1:52.13 in the 200 free ... All three times were season-bests ... Also swam the 100 free, 200 IM, 1000 free and 100 fly.

As a freshman: Swam in five events in his first season with the Bulldogs in 2014-15 ... Swam the 1000 free, 500 free, 200 free, 100 free and 200 IM ... Posted a season-best time of 10:11.07 at the MAAC Championships in the 1000 free ... Posted a season-best time of 5:12.18 in the 500 free against URI.

Before Bryant: A two-year varsity letterwinner at Suffield before competing with a swimming club his final two years ... A Class "S" championship qualifier and state swimmer at Suffield ... Finished in the Top 16 in Conn. and was on the Connecticut Zone Team ... Also earned three letters of varsity lacrosse.

Personal: The son of Amy and Mark Karangekis, Nick Karangekis was born on Sept. 6, 1995 ... Has two brothers, Mitchell and Jason, and one sister, Grace.
