Men's swim & dive falls to Brown, MIT Saturday
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's swimming and diving team was defeated by Brown and MIT on Saturday afternoon in Providence.
The Bulldogs were defeated 221-76 by MIT and 218-66 by Brown.
Freshman Robert Davis (Glastonbury, Conn.) was the highlight of the afternoon for the Bulldogs, finishing fourth in the 1000 free and fifth in the 500 free. He posted times of 9:57.12 and 4:51.17.
Junior Ben Schulte (Tumon, Guam) and freshman diver Zach Vogel (South Easton, Mass.) also had strong meets. Schulte posted a fourth-place finish in the 100 breast, while Vogel finished fourth in the 3-meter and fifth in the 1-meter dive.
The Bulldogs return to the pool on Sunday when they host NJIT at noon. The meet will be broadcasted live on NECFrontRow.com.
