Bulldogs and Bison set for Friday night battle

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's swimming and diving team welcomes Bucknell to the Chace Athletic Center Pool for a non-conference bout on Friday night at 6:00 p.m.

Last Time Out

The Bulldogs defeated Boston College 161-139 behind a three-win night from Ben Schulte (Tumon, Guam) and a school-record diving performance from Trevor Hazlewood (Corpus Christi, Texas). The Black and Gold were helped by a big 100 Butterfly performance in which they claimed the top three spots.

Last Meet with Bucknell

  • This is the first dual meet ever between the Bison and the Bulldogs.

A bit about the Bison

  • The Bison finished 4-6 in the 2016-17 campaign, placing fourth at the Patriot League Championship and 10th at the ECAC Championships.
  • No team scores were kept in their season opener against UMBC back on September 30.
  • Garrett Sommer won the 3-meter dive for the Bison in Bucknell's lone win on the night.
  • Four other swimmers, along with two relay teams, raced to runner-up finishes.
