Bulldogs look to make it three straight wins to open season

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Looking to continue its undefeated start, the Bryant University men's swimming and diving team welcomes in-state rival Providence for a 5:00 p.m. meet at the Chace Athletic Center on Friday night.

Last Time Out

The Bulldogs finished 1-2 in three of the first five races of the night, set three pool records and dominated in a 199-89 victory over Bucknell.

Last Meet with Providence

  • Junior Ben Schulte (Tumon, Guam) and freshman Robert Davis (Glastonbury, Conn.) combined to win five individual events to lead the Bulldogs to a 184-104 victory in Providence last season.

A bit about the Friars

  • The Friars opened their 2017-18 season with a second-place finish at the Northeast Catholic Invitational in Newtown, Mass.
  • Jonathan Batista finished third in the 100 back and fourth in the 200 back to lead the Friars in the meet.
  • John Freeman finished second in the 200 free and Sebastian Melendez finished second in the 200 fly.
