Ornelas named MAAC Men's Swimmer of the Week

EDISON, N.J. – Graduate student Micah Ornelas (San Diego, Calif.) earned his first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week award after four wins this weekend against Boston College.

Ornelas recorded individual victories in the 100 back (51.80), 100 fly (48.92) and 200 individual medley (1:52.22), as well as swam the third leg of the team's 200 medley relay (1:33.05) victory. He has found his way into the Bryant Top 10 list already, with his 100 fly time coming in second in program history and his 100 back swim currently ranked fifth.

The Bulldogs return to the pool on Friday evening when they take on in-state rival Providence at 5 p.m. in Providence, R.I.
