Ornelas earns second Swimmer of the Week honor

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University men's swimmer Micah Ornelas (San Diego, Calif.) earned Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference honors after swimming to three individual pool records and a perfect 7-for-7 meet against NJIT on Friday and Saturday at the Chace Athletic Center Pool.

Ornelas earned his second weekly award from the league on Wednesday afternoon after pool records in the 100 back (50.93), 100 fly (48.81) and 200 individual medley (1:54.12), as well as the four relays to continue his hot start for the Bulldogs in the pool.

He leads Bryant in a return to Chace on Sunday morning, when they swim against Harvard at 11 a.m.
